Pennsylvania Recovery Admissions - Little Creek Lodge

Criteria for admission.
Residents must meet the following criteria: Must be male, age 18 or over with no risk of withdrawal from drugs or alcohol. Resident must have been referred by reputable referral and have medical clearance (being rehab status). Medical conditions or handicaps could interfere with program activities, making resident ineligible for admission. Resident is required to be accepting of 24 hour structured setting, and agree to a program for a period of 90 days or more. Resident must be oriented to person, place, and time. Any special limitations will be noted, such as allergies, bee stings, food, medication, etc. Client must have completed a 28-day treatment or recovery experience prior to entry. Must be ambulatory and capable of self-care, and able to participate in the adventure trek program. It is the policy of Little Creek to accept all individuals who meet the established criteria regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, and sexual orientation. Little Creek Lodge may not have a Spanish-speaking staff member.

Guidelines for completion of residency
Requirements for completion of residency as viewed from the project and resident’s perspective is:

  • To have completed all program activities and display a change in attitude and behaviors. Resident should feel voluntarily ready to transition to a more independent level outside of this environment. Resident should display working knowledge of a 12-step program like AA or NA through attending meetings and utilizing a sponsor for guidance.



  • To have gainful employment, or be in enrolled in college.



  • To show their ability to self manage their financial resources.



  • To demonstrate a firm commitment to abstinence to all mood or mind altering chemicals.



  • To demonstrate an improved level of social integration with peers, staff and family.

  • WHAT TO PACK Little Creek Lodge is located in northeast Pennsylvania in a country surrounding.

    The time of season will help determine the type of clothing. Two Weeks of casual attire including; Jeans, shirts, socks, underwear, jackets, rain gear, robe, pajamas and slippers. Shower Shoes, shower bag with personal toiletries (non-alcoholic creams and lotions) Alarm Clock (must be non-electric) Sturdy shoes or hiking boots, gloves and backpack (for adventure treks)

    UPON APPROVAL THESE ITEMS NOT ALLOWED FOR 30 DAYS Personal computers, WiFi, cell phones or other personal phones/internet-capable communication devices, CD Players, video cameras or snapshot cameras. An inventory will be been taken of all personal belongings. Some items may need to be placed in storage, at staff’s discretion, until they can be transported home by a family member, or until discharged from the program.

    All residents are solely responsible for caring for their personal items in their room. Little Creek accepts no responsibility for items that are lost, loaned out but not returned, stolen, broken, or damaged. All items left at Little Creek Lodge will be shipped to the home address of the resident within 48 hours of discharge, and all shipping charges will be deducted from the balance of the account.
